Backyard Butterflies

The children in my classroom are noticing the first signs of Spring! We planted daffodil bulbs in the Fall and it was so exciting to see the bright yellow flowers blooming next to our playground. With Earth Day coming up on April 22nd, it's the perfect time to gather materials from nature to make beautiful, original artwork. My students love taking a nature walk to gather small branches, pairs of leaves, pine cones and small flowers.
