My favorite art projects that I repeat every year are beautiful, fun and nurture a child's development. My Cherry Blossom Trees and Branches fit perfectly into that category. I was thrilled when the Occupational Therapist visiting our Pre-School admired this project for building fine motor skills! There are several options for this project to suit your needs. My Pre-K students can master these miniature Cherry Blossom trees. I can't wait to make these in class soon! Here is the link to my Youtube video:

For 3-year-olds, I love these chunkier Cherry Blossom branches in a vase. They are beautiful and appropriate for their skill level. For Toddlers, I like to find one large branch to lay on the classroom table and have the children add Cherry Blossoms as a group project. This would be beautiful to display over a window in their classroom. I also do versions of this project with Autumn colored tissue paper and cotton balls for snow.
